Matcha Tea and Health Benefits

Are you curious about matcha tea and the added health benefits?

Wondering what all the hype is about it?

In this video you will get the down low on matcha!

I talk about the main benefits and even surprising facts about matcha.

What is Matcha?

Matcha is a finely ground powder of specially grown and processed green tea leaves.

The green tea plants are shade-grown for three to four weeks before harvest.

There are three components of Matcha.

The first component is the caffeine. Matcha contains more caffeine than most green teas.

The caffeine that is in Matcha contributes to the taste and smell.

The second component of Matcha is chlorophyl.

When Matcha is grown in the shade, the amount of chlorophyl increases.

Consuming chlorophyl include anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant benefits.

The third component of Matcha is theanine.

Theanine can also impact the flavor of Matcha but most importantly, theanine has been linked to increased focus and can make you feel less anxious and stressed.

If coffee leaves you feeling more anxious and jittery, try a cup of Matcha instead!
