Asheville Hangouts

Women’s Nutrition Clinic is now accepting new patients in Texas and North Carolina!

Did you know that Women’s Nutrition Clinic can see patients throughout all of Texas?

This means that we can provide high quality care to women no matter where someone is in the state. We specialize in PCOS and supporting women who want to feel better, improve their relationship with food and more!

And we are now expanding to North Carolina!

As you might recall, in past posts I’ve shared some of my favorite spots in major cities all throughout Texas like Houston, San Antonio and Austin.

I love being able to share this with you. Because at the end of the day, we are all humans and when we are working on our health journeys, it can feel overwhelming to integrate things you’ve learned into our every day lives.

So, as a Dietitian who lived in North Carolina and is now seeing clients in North Carolina, I am going to share with you some of my favorite things to do in the Asheville area! You can have fun, reach your health goals and still live your life!

Begin your day with some natural light exposure.

Natural light exposure is beneficial for hormone balance and can help with circadian rhythm. One of my favorite things to do was head to the Pisgah National Forest and take a walk. While I have done some longer hikes, it’s not for everyone! Just soaking up the beauty of nature and moving your body adds up to a lot!

Afterwards, I’d love spending my afternoons in Asheville, wandering the city.

But not without some delicious bites! My go-to was always the Green Sage Cafe. You can find healthy eats that are also delicious! Take a little stroll after lunch which is great for digestion and blood sugar support.

Don’t miss out on French Broad Chocolate Lounge. Yes! I am talking about getting dessert. Mindfully, pick out a dark-chocolate treat and savor it while you take in the sights and bustle of this amazing place.

And last, if you’re not to tired you can’t miss heading to the Biltmore Estate. A great way to get some extra steps in and marvel at this incredible place.

As you can see, you can enjoy your life while committing to your new lifestyle changes.

I always encourage my clients to find balance on vacation or trips. You will likely enjoy the trip more because of feeling better!

Being an east coast girl, actually from Massachusetts, it still amazes me how I ended up in Texas. Life has a funny way of working out. I’ve lived in many different states along the east coast and eventually made my way down south.

Speaking of, if you are a local to Austin, Houston or another major city in Texas…I’ve got you covered. You can check out Texas spots at our blogs here. It is a great way to plan your next day trip or weekend afternoon!
